On the occasion of International Women’s Day, I extend my warm greetings to women around the world, and especially to the courageous and proud women of Iran.
Throughout the long and distinguished history of our homeland, Iranian women have always played an essential role in preserving our culture, identity and the progress of our society. From mothers who, with love and devotion, have nurtured generations, to women who have distinguished themselves in the fields of science, culture, the arts, and social life, Iranian women have always been one of the steadfast pillars of our nation.
Today, the women of Iran continue to demonstrate remarkable courage, awareness, and perseverance in their pursuit of freedom, justice, and human dignity. Their voices and their steadfast determination inspire not only their fellow compatriots but also awaken the conscience of people across the world.
On this day, I wish to honor with deep respect the memory of those women who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and dignity of Iran, and I extend my heartfelt sympathy and solidarity to their families. Their memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of the Iranian people and will continue to inspire future generations.
I firmly believe that the women and daughters of Iran, as they have throughout history, will play a vital role in shaping a brighter future for our beloved homeland. I hope that the day will soon come when all women in Iran can live in an atmosphere of freedom, equality, security and opportunity, where they may fully realize their talents and contribute to the prosperity and renewal of Iran.
