It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of Mr. Robert M. Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a theater director and visionary artist whose extraordinary talent and creative spirit left an indelible mark on the world of performing arts. I fondly recall his groundbreaking participation in the Jashn-e Honar Shiraz Festival in IRAN in 1972, where his avant-garde work, KA MOUNTAIN AND GUARDenia TERRACE, brought a new dimension to our celebration of culture and artistic innovation. This monumental performance, spanning seven days and 168 hours, involved over 700 performers from around the world, and it was a powerful demonstration of the creative exchange between East and West. His contribution not only enriched the festival but also inspired countless audiences and artists alike.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to illuminate the path for future generations of artists.
